Hi beautiful. Life is good..I’m honestly just relaxing for the next few weeks. Tonight I plan on listening to Regina Spektor’s new album while drawing some characters, and I want to begin a digital painting tonight the character for a scene that I want to finish in a month, just for kicks. I just finished making spam musubi, and my mom is a cooking steamed egg dish for dinner, and my dad is walking aimlessly around the house, and my dog is staring at me. How are you? How is your life?

I regret not applying early decision to Columbia. There is nothing else really in my life that I genuinely regret doing, because I believe that most things I have failed at or have not done well in, have taught me unforgettable lessons.

Everyday, no kidding. I remember writing a post on how my life would be different if I went to BHS instead of Mills..not only is the environment and teaching different, but I would have never met the awesome friends I have today, including you. The question is, whether you’re starting to regret, or whether you are going to take your past to help you move onto the future. The reality is, you will never know the outcome of those “what-ifs” in your head, unless you execute. And when you take a chance, something beautiful might happen. If you feel like you made the wrong decision, well I believe that there isn’t a wrong decision, because you can get something out of every path.

Well just 15 minutes ago, all 4 sinks were used (I brushed my teeth), and all 4 showers were used (I was waiting to shower), but only one stall was used. It depends on the hour. Usually I’m like the only one there…or there’s one other person. It’s rare for it to be crowded.

Hm. Life sucks. Life is unfair…everyday you see people who you are instantly jealous of because of their attractiveness, or you have intelligent friends, or you aren’t satisfied with yourself, or you want to make your parents proud. You look around and you see everyone succeeding but yourself. You feel like a failure, and you don’t know if it’s because you’re not trying, if you’ve tried hard enough, or just because you are a lonely, miserable person. But why should you sit there and mope. We are fucking alive. Fuck the world. Do what makes you happy and just be true to yourself.
In the past couple weeks, I have gotten many questions on why I abstain from certain activities, and my response was simple: That is not who I am. If your life is not going the way you want it to be, don’t sit there and dwell in your unhappiness. Take initiative, whether it is taking a long walk to think things through, or just being spontaneous, because you are in charge of your life. It’s when you don’t take charge, that is when you fail.
But I know you won’t.
My other simple and alternative response is: Look into the mirror everyday, and do one thing that makes you happy. When you are happier, your reflection shows it.
My real alternative response is: Fuck life, listen to Muse.
