+Ready To Start - The Arcade Fire
i would rather be alone, then pretend i feel alright.
Loving Britney’s new video for her song, “Criminal.” I must have replayed it at least ten times by now…but I have so many interesting thoughts about it.
1. Why is she even with that guy if he is such a jerk? And why haven’t other people notice that he’s being physically and verbally abusive?
2. How did that random criminal guy just like come up out of thin air and kick the other guy’s ass? Was he stalking her? Is he like Edward Cullen?
3. Sure, bad boys may be appealing for her, but if I realized that the guy I’m in love with is a criminal, I would get the hell out of there before he rapes me or kills me or something. Guns are only fascinating if they’re not in the hands of someone notorious for using them.
3. The lyrics don’t make sense…if he’s a bum, how does he afford all these guns and shit? He can’t have stolen them all. And she says she’s in love with him, but it’s only physical. But isn’t being in love both emotional and physical and psychological…
4. If someone had my name tattooed on their arm, I would be creeped out as fuck.
5. Stealing stuff from a convenience store. She should have done something more badass, like robbing a bank or something…not that I am advocating that.
6. How the hell did they get out of that building safely when there are like ten officers shooting them?
But other than that, I see the atmosphere the director was going for, and I am in love with this song and video!
